Certainly I don’t need another black jacket but when least expected, life will throw savvy gal the perfect little jacket. I struggled for about 30 seconds at Saks trying to decide if I should buy a three-quarter sleeve crop jacket in black, which may become useless as we go into summer in California. But, I really like the silhouette and it’s not like I have a 3/4 sleeve jacket in black. It will be perfect for California’s chilly desert nights.
Upon further investigation, 3/4, half sleeve and short sleeve crop jackets are actually savvy additions to a gal’s wardrobe. They can be dressy for luncheons at the Ritz, business appropriate for the office, or just downright cool waltzing down Rodeo Drive. Shorter sleeve gives the appearance of lightness, which is great for spring, cool summer nights and early fall when a gal just needs a light jacket.
My black crop jacket is similar to the one in yellow which has a hint of A-line but with 2 large buttons similar the one on left. Depending on the look I am going to achieve, it can be dressy for business or casual for a day out. My jacket has a flare so I would wear it with fitting bottoms or dresses to show off my figure.
With a belt, a fitted dress, straight skirt or pants(with slight flare or straight leg), gals can enhance their figures and remain oh so stylish with a fitted crop jacket. These looks are business appropriate and a gal can virtually go from day to night.
I really like the raspberry color short princess sleeve crop jacket. Summer is all about color and fun and these two looks certainly fit the bill. I like the layered look, giving an outfit more personality and a touch of cool casualness. Shorter jackets are also great for gals with longer torso/waist making a gal's top half appearing shorter and bottom, longer.
All in all, I am a happy savvy gal for the new addition in the closet! Now if I can get just the quasi-walk-in-closet ready, I will be a super excited happy gal!
