A little while ago, I learned a tip from a makeup artist and found this to be quite useful to brighten up my eyes. I thought to share this after several gal pals asked me about this particular bright eye trick. They are all quite happy with the result. I am using a silver/white pencil to achieve my look but a gal can also use a dab of powder at the corner to brighten up the eyes. However, I find pencil easier to apply and last longer than powder. Before I explained my little tip, gal pals commented my eyes always looked bright but how? Now they know. I hope this will help you with all the holiday parties? Have you tried this before?
*Answer to yesterday's question: Ostrich Leg Leather. Who knew, right?!
Never tried of this ! But I think I will . Thanks for sharing !
ReplyDeleteOstrich leg? I didn't know that they make leather out of ostrich legs. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteLove this tip SG...
Great tip! It is fun to see the tips from 25 years ago coming back into circulation!
ReplyDeleteOstrich leg? Interesting! I've tried this trick before. I usually do it when I look particularly tired.
ReplyDeleteI use the Sephora smokey eyes kit and they recommend that you use a silvery color on the inner eye and I love it!
ReplyDeleteI did think of Ostrich but not the leg bit - that is how it looked so unusual and almost reptile like - very clever!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip. I don't wear makeup very much but I will keep this in mind. :)

ReplyDeleteGreat tip! I used to dab silver eyeshadow in the corner of my eyes, but haven't done that in awhile. I also need to wear eyeshadow again- have just been wearing eyeliner and mascara :) xo, Mel
ReplyDeleteI do this all the time and it works wonders!
ReplyDeleteLove this trick. I use it all the time in the morning so that I look awake before my regular coffee!

Yes, I love this trick. It really does work! ;)
ReplyDeleteI do! I haven't tried with a pencil yet - as per your advice, I may pick one up some day - but when I'm doing full makeup for dressier events, I'll usually dab a tiny bit of shimmery white powder eyeshadow in the inner corners of my eye. I also picked up a tip from Carmindy, the lady who does the makeup portion on What Not to Wear - taking a small but fluffy eyeshadow brush and sweeping a tiny bit of white powder along my brow bone.
ReplyDeletegreat tip savvy. i never tried before..
ReplyDeleteThey had a post on this on cutblog - thank u for reminding me!
