How To Care for Handbags

In order to enjoy handbags for seasons in top condition, savvy gals need to take care of them so our lovelies will look chic and beautiful for a long time. Once every quarter, SG will inspection and condition as necessary all the bags.

It’s important to condition handbags with leather cream, and spray bags with protection as well. Remember to try a small inconspicuous area first. A gal pal sprayed her cashmere Fendi bag without testing first, and it was ugly. If water gets on a handbag, don’t wipe, dab it gently with a clean towel, as advised by a SA at Chanel.

Always avoid picking up handbags with oily lotion hands, oil on your hands will transfer to the bag. That is why I avoid carrying my white Chanel wool bag.

Don’t over stuff handbags; all the excess things will distort the shape of handbags in time and do rotate handbags if possible so not one handbag is being used to its last leg.

Lastly, I always leave my handbags in its sleepers with stuff tissues for support. This way, all bags will be in mint conditions for years.

So savvy gals, what do you do to care for your bags?

  9. i feel so awkward. i don't do any of that. i'm an abuser: mine is overfilled, always full, always messy. i only have one, unless you count my backpack. it's not a designer bag. i'll keep it until it falls apart or until i find something better. half the time i leave it in the trunk of the car when i go shopping. but since it holds my inhalers, it's usually not too far away.
