Happy Monday everyone. I am going to start the week off with a piece on the jewelry house of my dream. For a while now, I have a hankering for this simple Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra ring in turquoise enamel and white gold; other colors are available. The matching necklace is also quite lovely actually. This collection was launched in 1974.
Ring around $2250
I prefer the single flower which is not shown here. A single flower Alhambra necklace is around $1600 now since the price increase.
Van Cleef & Arpel is a 100+ year old luxury French jeweler with the first boutique opening in 1906 at the fame Place Vendome in Paris. Since then the luxury jewelry house has boutique openings in other prestigious locations around the world. I really adore the miniature flower earrings in turquoise (around $1300 to $1600) but can’t seem to manage the springy contraption to secure the earring to the post.
Between the Finger Ring: Noeud Ring in white and pink gold set with diamonds.
Between the Fingers Ring (around $17,300): Two Butterflies Ring in white and yellow gold set with diamonds and yellow sapphires.
Between the Finger Ring: Pivoine ring in white gold set with white, yellow and pink diamonds.
Every time I visit the boutique I am always amazed at the workmanship and the detail attention of each piece. I marvel and am amazed at the beauty of these intricate and unique jewelry candies. These pieces have transcended beyond decorative purposes. Rather, I see them as pieces of artworks that for sure will become heirlooms for any gal lucky enough to take them home. For those looking to invest in Van Cleef & Arpels, do so before May 1, 2008. Price will increase by 10% starting May 1, 2008.
